Sculptor and Restorator, Gustavo Gerrero studied fine arts at the Sorbone university in Paris; He also attended the Florence academy in Italy where he specialized in the Rennaissance; He obtained a master of fine arts at the Hunter College in New York. He has a tremendous passion for painting.
He has participated in various restoration projects in Colombia, He actually lives with his wife in Calgary, Canada, currently offering workshops for adults and children.
Gustavo Guerrero was born in Bogotá (Colombia).
He has studied Fine Arts in Paris (Sorbonne University) and New York (Hunter College), and Restauration in Florence (Academia de Florencia).
He has worked as painter and sculptor in United States, Colombia, Italy and Canada.
He has taken part in individual and collectives arts exhibitions.
He is known for his paintings of nudes and horses, for his restauration works of theatres and churches and for his works using ferrocement techniques.
His works show the beauty and express contradictory feelings like happiness and sadness, force and peace. His impressionist style of subject matter included nudes, still life and landscapes portrait in different seasons of the year.
Color, movement and contrast are vital in his paintings.
